have a clean room:

a clean room is probably one of the most important parts of redecorating your room. A clean room is important because when hanging up decorations or putting a new rug in the carpet. Also, if you wanna change your duvet and there's stuff on the floor, you could possibly trip and hurt yourself. {For more information, look at my how to clean your room tip.)

pick a new theme:

when i say theme i mean like color. most tumblr girls have at least one or two different colors. my room is pink and white, so that makes my bedding white and then I use throw pink throw pillows to add some spice. Also, don't be afraid to use any items that aren't in your color theme.

use lights:

if you already have lights then great but if you don't then this is a must-have. lights make your room glow and make it look comfy. I suggest using wall lights because they just have a cool touch that can make any room look amazing. I have special wall lights where you can adjust the lighting.
